After completing his undergraduate studies at New York Institute of Technology in Communications Arts/Business Administration, John Berzner began making documentary films. He now has over twenty-five years experience in creating and producing programming in various mass media including; television, radio, and internet.
His television producing credits include: VH-1 "Salute to the Songwriter" Awards, HBO special "Earth Wind and Fire" in Concert, the syndicated sitcom; "The Color of Success" starring Morris Day, “The Winans in Concert “ BET, “Bob Mann’s Automatic Golf” 26 episodes ESPN. Heart of a Hero”, hosted by Pat O’Brien, a biography series profiling Hall of Fame athletes including, Mickey Mantle and Joe Montana. Fox Sports. The television special, ”Dale Earnhardt, Tribute to a Legend,” TNT, “It’s Achievable”, a documentary about developmental disability; featuring Joe Montegna, Roma Downey, and John Lithgow. John line produced 16 episodes of the “The Movie Club with John Ridley” for AMC.
From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Berzner created and produced 1,500 hours of the radio talk show "Connecting Point". Broadcast three hours daily Monday - Friday on KYPA 1230 AM Los Angeles, the afternoon drive time program explored the fields of personal development, health, wellness and spirituality.
Most recently John acquired "Thatvideosite", a YouTube type video sharing site that has 3 million monthly visitors.
The great grandson of a Russian Rabbi, Mr. Berzner has developed a deep appreciation of culture, the arts and world travel. These characteristics, coupled with his own studies of spirituality, have instilled in him a thorough understanding of the human condition which has led to his community involvement and volunteer work with the American Red Cross, The International House of Blues Foundation. John served on the board of directors of the “Achievable Foundation” for people with developmental disabilities for the past five years and is currently serving his fourth year on the board of “The Caucus of Television Producers Writers and Directors Foundation”. Mr. Berzner received the Public affairs Award for Volunteer Recognition from the American Red Cross of Santa Monica. He is also an active participant in the Adopt A Family program of Greater Los Angeles.
John resides in Santa Monica, California with his wife Jeanne and their 18 year old daughter Bianca.
