Foundation – Mission

The Caucus Foundation, a not-for-profit 501[c]3 charitable organization, was established in the year 2000 to promote diversity in the entertainment industry, in terms of both content and personnel behind the camera. The Foundation is dedicated to scholarship support, financial grants and mentoring a diverse group of talented students; to help them build their futures in all forms of content creation.

In these changing times, one thing has not changed – the importance of the Caucus’ support and guidance for college and university students across the country and for all those who strive to have a future in content entertainment. The legendary and successful talents that exist in our organization will act in response to these evolving circumstances. The Caucus Foundation for Producers, Writers & Directors is moving to make this work its prime focus.

This support and mentoring will include, as always, students from a wide range of educational institutions without regard to race, color, creed, sexual orientation or disability. In the years since its inception, the Caucus Foundation has given over $2 million dollars to university students in the form of grants to help with completion of their film and TV projects. In the future, we will work to expand that to provide recognition, additional grants, scholarship funding and a wide array of mentoring for the next generation of creative talent.
